Throw a Pekeno Party!

Wish you could spend more time with your girlfriends that you don’t get to see very often? Try having a PeKeNo party once a month! The more people, the better! So if you don’t already have a good size group, have your friends invite friends and you’ll have a great group! Each month, someone else in the group will throw the party at their house. If you have 12 or more people, you are only out money one time a year for throwing the party! PeKeNo is a very easy game to play and very easy for your friends to understand. If you like bingo and you like cards, you will love this game. For a PeKeno Party, the first thing you need to think about is a theme, a date and time, decorations for your theme and food! What each player will need to bring: Each player will need to bring a $10.00 gift that relates to the theme and $2.00 cash for the pot.

How to put a PeKeno Party together.

What you’ll need:

• PeKeno game - You can find the game at most toy stores, Wal-Mart, Target, or you can purchase it online at or at Our Party Store!!! (the game is usually anywhere from $10.00 - $20.00 depending on where you get it and if it’s on sale)
• 2 decks of cards
• Plenty of tables and chairs to accommodate each guest

Now, decide what theme you would like to do. Here are many options you can use. Depending on what time of year it is, you can have a holiday party. For example, Chirstmas, After Christmas Sales, Halloween decorations, St. Patrick’s Day (bring something green), Valentine’s Day (bring a Valentine’s decoration), Easter, etc. Gift Card Party: each player will bring a $10.00 gift card from their favorite store “Happy Place” party: Each player brings a gift that puts them in their happy place (for example, a bottle of wine!). Some other themes are:

• Home Decoration Party
• Kitchen Appliances Party
• It’s Summertime Party!
• 80’s theme party

Decorations:

Get table decorations to match the theme of your party Table clothes to cover your tables, forks, napkins, etc. Maybe get a little little fun item for your guest to take home to lay on each place setting depending on what the theme is. For example: For a Valentine’s themed party, give everyone a chocolate heart. For the kitchen appliance, give everyone a wooden spoon, etc. (you can find all these items at Dollar Tree or at Our Party Store!!!).

Food:

For your PeKeNo party, usually, you will start the party around dinnertime and serve a simple dinner. Then, in your break between blackout and stealing gifts, you serve desert. Just do a buffet type set up and let people serve themselves. Eat, play PeKeNo through blackout, have desert and then play the last part….the most fun part! Stealing gifts!! It’s fun to do a dinner based on your theme as well if you can. If not, pizza is very easy. Pasta Salad’s, taco’s, even sandwhich meat and cheese tray’s for sandwhiches! Some desert examples: For Happy Place theme, make happy face cookies! Make sugar cookies, cover them with yellow icing and make the eyes and smile out of chocolate chips! Once you have all the essentials, thought of a theme, decorations, food, time and place, then you send out an EVITE!
